Redhawks conquer the Cougars in a record game

Southeast volleyball picked up a road win against Ohio Valley Conference newest member SIU-Edwardsville. The Redhawks have been their second-straight match and swept the season series against the Cougars with a 3-1 (25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20) at the SIU Student's Fitness Center. The Redhawks finished with an attack percentage of .261, the second-highest percentage they have recoreded this season.
The percentage marked the third-straight match in which they finished with an attack percentage over .200. It was the fourth time they have managed this offensive feat in the past five matches.
The Redhawks managed to improve their record to 11-15 while the Cougars fell to 1-24. Senior libero Molly Davis recorded a match-high 20 digs. This was the 15th match of the season in which she has recorded 20+ digs. On Monday, two Redhawks earned two OVC awards. Senior outside/rightside hitter Karleigh Delong was named offensive player of the week after recording her ninth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 10 digs. Delong committed just two attack errors for a .278 attack percentage. Senior setter Sarah Barth was named OVC setter of the week. Barth earned a match-high 39 assists and just missed earning a double-double with nine digs. Barth also made six kills and recorded a team-best .417 attack percentage. Barth, who missed much of the season due to a broken wrist, had 84 assists and 20 digs in the last week's two ...
