Southeast Missouri State University will hit the road, for the last time this season, on Saturday to battle Eastern Kentucky.

The Redhawks are hoping to snap a six-game losing streak; the Colonels fell 20-24 to Austin Peay on Saturday.

"Eastern Kentucky is coming off a tough loss to Austin Peay," said head coach Tony Samuel. "We're coming off some tough losses ourselves."

The Redhawks remain the only team in the OVC who are winless in the conference. The last time the Redhawks had an OVC victory was against Austin Peay to end the 2008 season.

The Redhawks will have to battle for the win against OVC preseason favorite Eastern Kentucky. The Colonels took the OVC Championship in 2007 and 2008. The Colonels are 4-3 overall and 4-2 in the OVC this season.

Eastern Kentucky has won each of its last five games against Southeast since 2003. The Colonels lead the series against the Redhawks 17-2.

"Eastern Kentucky is a very good football team," said head coach Tony Samuel. "Their new quarterback is very active, very accurate."

Colonel quarterback T.J. Pryor is third in the OVC in both passing average and pass efficiency. Pryor is second in the OVC in total offense.

Samuel is focusing on blocking Pryor's passes as a key strategy to defeating Eastern Kentucky.

"We have to stop their passing game," Samuel said. "They are precise."

Kickoff is scheduled for noon on Saturday at Roy Kidd Stadium in Richmond, Ky.
