Student Santas help underprivileged

On Saturday, Oct. 24, over 200 Student Santa's got up at 7 am in 40 degree weather to run the first annual Sweatin' with Santa 5K run in Jackson, raising money to make sure that all children in this area have a "Merry Christmas" this year. Student Santas is a group of people, community members and Southeast students that collect money to buy underprivileged children presents during the holiday season.

Those who get tired of the same old haunted house song and dance can get their Halloween kicks at the Cape Girardeau Zombie Crawl. It is on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

For the past 15 years, Dr. Edward Leoni has made that impact on countless numbers of students' lives through his Lifestyle Enhancement Course at Southeast.
